ALTO REED
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bob Seger Silver Bullet Saxman
"A Passion For The Blues"
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bob Seger Silver Bullet Saxman Alto Reed, an
original founding member of the legendary, multi-platinum, Grammy winning
band, is known not only for his 30 plus years of signature sax lines for Bob and his fellow Silver Bullets, but for his great passion for the blues as well.
Born in Detroit, and heavily influenced by the Motown mix of Soul and Rhythm and Blues, Alto has performed with innumerable blues greats ranging from
Mississippi blues man Otis Rush to the indefatigable ensemble of Dan Akroyd (Pictured On Right), Jim
Belushi and the The Blues Brothers. As a result, Alto's soulful, sexy and
expressive style has earned him a reputation as one of todays best Blues Sax players.
Alto's mastery on a wide range of woodwinds, from soprano to bass saxophone
and flutes, combined with a natural talent for percussion, guitar and keyboards has brought him recognition as one of the most versatile musicians of his kid in the industry.
